Safety, Security & CCTV

The building is compliant with Health & Safety at Work Act 2015. The inhouse security system includes CCTV and secure entry access to the doors and garage. Residents can only access the floor they live on and the basement.

Emergencies & Evacuation

All occupants residing at Madison On Symonds Apartments are required to provide their contact details in the form provided by the Building Manager. This is to be updated on each occasion when an occupant comes to reside at or vacates Madison On Symonds Apartments. The occupants form is also used to provide swipe/fob access to Madison On Symonds Apartments.

Community

We have a diverse community with a mix of owner occupied and rented properties. From couples, young families, students, to retired occupants which makes this an attractive place to live and relax. Many residents are long term occupants.

Moving In

When moving in or out, most furniture trucks will be able to park in the loading zone by the side of Madison On Symonds Apartments’ building on Hohipere Street or with prior authorization from the Building Manager, by the side of the building on Glenside Reserve. Please contact the Building Manager at least two working days prior to moving in/out for assistance and/or any queries.

Lift Keys

For your safety and convenience whilst moving your belongings in the lift, you are required to use the lift keys. A hand trolley is available for your use if you wish. Avoid unnecessary cost for Kone Lift call out fees and repairs to the lift. Please contact the Building Manager at least two working days prior to moving in/out for assistance and/or any queries.

Car parks

Please only park in your allocated car park. There are no visitors car parks or loading spaces. Unauthorised, parking will be towed at the vehicle owner’s expense. If unsure regarding parking, please contact the Building Manager. Car parks are often available for rent/lease. If you require a carpark, please contact the Building Manager.

Cooking Fumes

Please be mindful of your neighbours when you are cooking (especially during Summer months when your balcony doors and windows are open). Whilst you might enjoy the smell of your cooking, your neighbors may not. Avoid cooking especially strong smelling foods. Whilst cooking, please close your apartment door to the corridor and use your kitchen fan.

Washing

We do not allow washing to be hung or dried on balconies. Please dry washing inside your apartment on drying frames, use the drying function on your washing machine or use a dryer.

Noise

We live closely together so please be considerate of your neighbors. To achieve the same level of comfort and enjoyment, noise restrictions are in place at all times. Please contact the Building Manager about noise complaints.

Mail

Mailboxes are located in the Basement. For “non signature required” parcels drop off, please see the Building Manager for a briefing and guidance.
